Dorothy said it! It’s oh so true. There isn’t any place like home…or your “home” book store. My home book store is Matlacha Menagerie. And, there isn’t a more quaint, appealing place to shop and to drop my anchor as my home away from home. I’ve included lots of pictures to prove that. Linda Kaye and Larry Solinger, the owners, are the kind of people you want to know. They’re friendly, accommodating, honest and fair. They’re also very loyal, and, since I’m a “Dance with the one that brung you” kind of guy, that means a lot. They carried my books when I was between publishers and always welcomed me to do signings, etc. That’s why the marketing for every book I publish will be started with a “kick-off” introduction at the “Menagerie.” Here are some pics of people and things found in the aptly named Matlacha Menagerie.
You can see from the pictures, there’s an amazing collection of one of a kind critters, artwork, and gifts along with books for the discriminating reader. If you want a special gift, one that’s truly unique for a special person or occasion, this is a great place to start your quest. Oh, yes…They always carry all my books.
